Complete MHC Capture Kits

Our capture kit enables the most cost-effective sequencing of 3.8 Mb of the human MHC locus, including all coding and non-coding regions. The standard kit covers Chromosome 6 from 29.6 Mb to 33.2 Mb (build37), and can be expanded to include additional regions.

Through the use of the CATCH-Seq technology, the Complete MHC kit allows you to capture and sequence the entire MHC locus. Recent publications ( Zhou, et al, Nature Genetics ) have highlighted the genetic complexity of this locus, not only in coding sequence, but also non-coding, regulatory regions. Comprehensive sequencing of the entire locus with the cost-effect Complete MHC kits allows you to detect SNPs, indels, and structural variants that are not covered by the limited HLA-typing that most targeting products provide.
The Complete MHC kits can be purchased alone, if you want to sequence samples in your lab, or they can be used with Ubiquity Genomics' sequencing service. The kits can be ordered in a minimum size of 24 samples. See below for some example pricing for the kits alone, or with our full service library construction, capture and sequencing service. The Complete MHC kits will generate sequence reads across the entire locus (see figure below), including repetitive elements, which are avoided by oligo-based capture approaches.
